SC VivoCity to hold Blood Donation Drive on 13 September 2018
For many years, the Blood Donation Drive in Vietnam and particularly in HCMC has achieved very valuable results. In conjunction with SC VivoCity’s 3rd Anniversary in September 2018, the shopping mall continues to host the Blood Donation Drive as previous years to help patients who are in need of blood transfusions. We would like to invite all SC VivoCity’s shoppers and tenants to participate in the Blood Donation Drive with details as follows:
Date & Time: From 7:30 to 10:30 on 13/9/2018
Venue: Area in front of Phuc Long – Level 1 SC VivoCity
Participants: All staff at SC VivoCity Shopping Mall and shoppers can join the program.
How to register:
- Shoppers: Register at Information Counter 1st floor - phone number: (028) 3776 1018. Registration time: Until 13/9/2018. When registering, please bring your ID card.
- Store employee: Register with SC VivoCity Property Department.
- Conducted by: HCMC Blood Donation Center, 106 Thien Phuoc Street, Ward 9, Tan Binh District, HCMC.
Requirements:
Qualifications of a blood donor:
Age:
- Male: 18 – 60 years old
- Female: 18 – 55 years old
Weight: at least 45kg
Have no cardiovascular diseases, liver problem (fatty liver, Hepatitis B – C), lung disease, kidney failure, cancer, diabetes, blood diseases and malaria; not infected with the sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV/ AIDS, hyperlipidemia, syphilis or any other illness.
Blood unit/ time: 250ml – 350ml – 450ml (depends on the donors)
Before and After Blood Donation
Preparation Before Blood Donation:
- Have enough rest and sleep;
- No alcohol intake 24 hours prior to blood donation;
- Before Blood Donation, please have a light meal (avoid fatty foods) and drink plenty of water (300-500ml). Tea with sugar is the best. Do not drink milk
After Blood Donation: Drink plenty of water, take iron pills; eat well; avoid long travel, carrying heavy things, doing heavy work or over-exercising.
For Blood Donors, you will receive:
- Granted Certificate of Blood Group (one month after Blood Donation)
- Token of Appreciation from the Organizer such as Sweetened Condensed Milk and Blood Tonic valued at VND100,000 (for those who donate 250ml blood unit), VND150,000 (for those who donate 350ml blood unit), VND 180,000 (for those who donate 450ml blood unit) and VND 80,000 in cash (for meal and travel allowance)
