Saigon Co.op Investment Development Joint Stock Company (SCID) is an affiliate of Saigon Co.op, the leading retailer in Vietnam with many years success in the Top 500 retailers in Asia Pacific.

Established in 2007 with chartered capital of VND 1,000 billion in which Saigon Co.op takes a 96% of shares, SCID’s primary mandate is to develop the Co.opMart supermarket chain nationwide. During the process of establishment & development, SCID also focus on investing and managing many commercial real estates such as department stores and shopping mall by methods of joint venture or 100% capitalized by Saigon Co.op/ SCID

In January 2014, SCID launched its first Sense City Department store in Can Tho city. Till the end of 2017, SCID has operated other two additional Sense City Department stores in Ben Tre and Ca Mau cities and has developed a new retail concept: Sense Market in District 1, Ho Chi Minh city. Moreover, SCID has managed to take 78 Co.opmart super markets into operation, added total 96 Supermarkets nationwide till May 2018.

In the near future, with the vision of becoming a leader in retail property development in Vietnam, SCID shall invest many other forms of commercial real estate such as mixed-use complexes, office towers, and serviced apartments to contribute to promote Saigon Coop to a higher position in retail market.
