SC VivoCity Celebrates a Decade of Growth and Customer Connection

Over the past 10 years, SC VivoCity has continuously innovated to meet the increasingly diverse needs of its customers.

Ho Chi Minh City – SC VivoCity is celebrating its 10th anniversary (09/2015 – 09/2025) with a series of events, reaffirming its position as an international shopping and lifestyle destination in the city.

Marking this important milestone, a special music night on September 21, 2025, featuring singer S.T Son Thach, promises exciting performances and memorable moments for customers and partners. As part of the anniversary campaign, starting from early August 2025, SC VivoCity launched a series of special activities under the theme “SC VivoCity Turns 10 – A Decade of Joy.” Highlights include a lucky draw program (22/08 – 04/10) with attractive prizes, and the “10 Days of Promotions – X10 Hot Deals” (19 – 28/09) featuring exclusive offers from retail, dining, and entertainment brands.

During this period, SC VivoCity also introduced several new entertainment attractions, providing more engaging experiences for visitors. These include B-Zone Mini Zoo, Funzone Adventure educational playground, and VR City, a virtual reality experience from Singapore making its debut in Ho Chi Minh City.

From its early days, SC VivoCity pioneered the concept of a free outdoor rooftop playground – Sky Park – featuring physical activity zones and a modern water playground for children, becoming a distinctive highlight among shopping malls in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2025, Sky Park was completely renovated with a new Ocean Park theme, continuing to be a beloved destination for families.

Throughout the past decade, SC VivoCity has continuously evolved to deliver a comprehensive lifestyle experience, from shopping and dining to entertainment, meeting the growing expectations of visitors of all ages. The mall also regularly hosts events, experiential activities, movie premieres, brand launches, and promotional campaigns, bringing fresh experiences and memorable moments for customers, especially young audiences.

At the end of 2022, the SC VivoCity Rewards+ loyalty program was launched and quickly became an effective platform to engage customers through exclusive benefits such as point accumulation and redemption, birthday gifts, festive promotions, and invitations to special events.

Beyond offering shopping and entertainment experiences, SC VivoCity has also taken the lead in sustainable investments, particularly in energy efficiency. In 2022, the mall installed a solar energy system, helping to save more than 2.3 million kWh of electricity and reduce over 1,500 tons of CO₂ emissions within three years from 2022 to 2024. Notably, in late 2024, SC VivoCity became the first shopping mall in Vietnam to receive the LEED Gold certification for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (v4.1) from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Alongside its business operations, SC VivoCity places strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Each year, the mall organizes “Green Month”, encouraging the community to adopt a greener lifestyle and raising awareness about environmental protection through activities such as painting workshops, recycled crafts, and tree-planting initiatives for national nature reserves through the Forest Garden Project.

In addition, to strengthen community bonds and spread compassion and positive values, SC VivoCity collaborates with local authorities to support disadvantaged families during Lunar New Year. The mall has also partnered with Khan Quang Do Newspaper and volunteer groups to organize meaningful activities for underprivileged children in Ho Chi Minh City, including programs such as “Tet Cho Em” and “Trung thu mơ ước.”

SC VivoCity is part of Saigon South Place, a 4.4-hectare mixed-use development designed to provide a comprehensive “work – live – play” environment. The project aims to serve both the local community and international visitors in Ho Chi Minh City.
